Dedicated to a friend who just shift career to Human Resource.

Last April was a promotion month for most of my friends. It’s a month where yearly promotion is announced. As usual it gives joy to those who gets it and probably disappointments to others. It also gives debate and inquiry on why who and how come :).
To me an outsider now, it gives inspiration to a next essay: what does our reward depends on – in general life as well in professional life? To borrow analogy from Matthew McConaughey’s movie: is it our past, our present, or our future that dictate our reward? Here are my thoughts.

Some times we take for granted things that are obvious and practical because it seems trivial.

 The classical problem every leader encounter is how to form your team. Although it sounds simple, in real life it’s easier said than done. Not to mention if you are inherited some issues from previous leader. Or it becomes issues after you steps in as the new leader. To the team’s perspective, the new leader may be seen as the cause instead of the effect.
